Photo Theater App Reviews

This Photo Theater application works fine for me. No bugs found. And it is fast to generate videos files. Will recommand this cool app to people who like turning their photos to videos.

Just bought the app last night and it has already crashed on my first project. Can someone tell me how to fix this, even if I have to start the project over?

This program has a great potential, in some ways it is very easy to work with but on the other hand if you have 100 photos and you must drag effects and subtitles one by one, it becomes tedious. The program crashed on me couple times and twice the photos did not load properly after opening the program. Audio transitions are not good because there is only one track so music cannot be blended as is the case in Garage band. As a result there are 2- 3 second gaps between music. Some subtitles do not work properly with motion themes. I hope there is an update soon.

I purchased this program about 8 months ago. I finally got around to using it. Everything worked well up to the time I wanted to add music to my creation and found that I couldn’t. Facebook ‘Photo Theater’ page told me to import the music, but there is no ‘import’ selection in any of the menus. I’m attempting to contact Support once I’ve finished this.

i just purchased this app after doing a free trial and this one wont let me load any photos at all! The reason i purchased the full version was so I could have more variety and now i paid money for something that doesn’t even work! does anyone know how i can get a refund?

So-far only give it 2 stars, since 2 things are either a problematic or missing, i.e.: 1) When want to do titles etc, it show you where it expect you to write your text however only sometimes in some templates it works in most of it not. 2) Full screen is missing while reviewing your work. For its price expected delivery of the finished it otherwise promishes to become. Will revisit when it gets updated, I hope. Else lost some good dollars which could have brougt me some number of tools, some usable some not as always, until then...

This is a scam. It doesnt tell you that all itunes you have purchased cant be used in this application. This is a SCAM

I liked the software but then have tried to make a Quicktime Movie.I could not open the Quicktime file. Error! There should be a warning!!!

It helps so much in my sisters wedding! Due to the time restriction on the day, we have to finish the wedding photo video in a short time. It helps us create a beautiful slideshow with nice effects and all of our guests are like it so much!

I dont even know what a BPT file is and there is no way to convert it. I search where to convert it but there is NOTHING!! I need a refund..

Photo Theater provides a fantastic way to create videos with your pictures. You can add music and a ton of effects that fall under three categories: motion, style and transition. Well worth every penny! You will not be disappointed. I only wish there was a way to resize photos that do not fit compositionally within the frame.

As a Matter of Opinion, Can produce stunning slideshows. I used Photo Theater for an emergency project for a Family Gathering. Project Turned out great. Is Perfect, if you use Side by Side with iMovie for finishing touches. Usability: Took a while to figure out how to change the Effects. And a little frustrating. But, Once you get the hang of it, then it is not too terrible. It has 4 Edit Modes : Picture, Music, Effects, Lettering. It has an Auto-Assign feature to the Effects. You can change them. Pretty nice library of Effects. Would be nice to add more or customize your own. Tips: Almost everything is drag and drop. There is no Right Click Menus to modify/edit the objects or groupings. Pros: - Auto-Effects : Just drag and drop pictures into editor, it auto creates random Effects or Groupings for picture sets. Great for beginners. Annoying for intermediate users. - Can Produce Easy and Pretty Slideshows! Cons: - Editing can be frustrating. - Auto-Effects: I want to control behavior. Instead of just randomly assigning. - Would be great to add more Effects - OverAll Control of Editor feels restricted. - There is no (Ctrl+Z/ Command+Z) feature to undo actions. Workaround, dont make mistakes. - Limited Functionality for Lettering, Only one line available. Workaround Export Project to iMovie for Editing. - Room for Improvement Crashes: Every now and then, it does crash when sliding bottom slider of the Editor from left to right. Although, It does appear to have a auto-recovery feature. To Recover from Beach Ball of Death: Force Quit, Re-open. Make sure you save your work. Desired Features: - Right Click on objects to edit its properties. (e.g. to Modify Picture, Music, Effects, Lettering) - Would be great if you utilize command+Z, command+C, command+V, command+X (undo, copy, paste, cut) How tos: Delete an object: Select grouping or Object, Drag it out of frame. Icon turns into a poof cloud. release mouse button. Make sure you want to delete. Because there is no UNDO.

I got this program today and unfortunately Im having great crashes from it. I cant even edit my slideshow because it keeps crashing all the time. I dont know what is the cause of the bug, but Ill keep the one star rate until the correction.

So many features definitely worth the money….if the pictures appear cut off go to the file menu and unclick auto cut! Also great technical support thanks again!

Does not work good at all. I drag a photo into the slideshow, and the application shuts down within 5 seconds every time. Hate it.

What a pain! It automatically assigns some kind of effect to every picture you load into it. You then have to go and delete each effect individually to get the timing down, as the photo and effect are linked together. Maybe I just need more time (which I do not have) to play with this thing. If the program did not assign an effect automatically, or if there was an option under the effect pane called NONE, that would help. As it sits now, I blew 25 bucks on something that was over rated. Wish I would have ponied up for Fantashow….

I would not wast your time or money on this. I have tried to make 3 differant movies and all have have crashed. Just a wast of time and money.. I am going to go buy iMovie and put this wast of money behind me…

I installed it…couldnt make a video..messed up my mouse and I ended up deleting it. Wathever money I spent, has been wasted.

This is basically a worthless hunk of software. It’s buggy and features don’t work as advertised. Save some money and a lot a grief.
